Morning with God

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
 Ralph Waldo Emerson

The good news that so many long to hear is that God loves you for you, not for what you do or produce, just you. This morning a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson comes to mind as I pause to spend a moment to reorient and focus on whose I am as a child of God.

The world around us wants us to always think the grass is greener on the other side or we can strengthen our life by fixing our weaknesses, and yet God looks down on us and says “I love you!”, “You are mine!”, “I am with you, always!”.

What if today we sought the Father’s Love for us and not what the world thinks we lack?
